Privacy at Dealn
This notice is about Dealn’s own use of personal details. Dealn is a trading name of Buildshield LTD, company number 17063657, unit 5 lovecotes lodge. ICO registration: C1886150. Contact: privacy@dealn.co.uk.
If you play Squares or Dealn Events at work, your employer decides how your details are used there and Dealn processes them for it: see the privacy notice on your group’s own Squares address (its /privacy page).
What Dealn holds, and why
- The people we deal with at dealer groups and manufacturers (names, work contact details, job titles): to set up and run the contract. Contract and legitimate interests.
- Billing: invoices, payments, purchase order numbers and billing contacts. Contract and legal obligation: accounting records are kept for 6 years.
- Signed agreements: the signatory’s name, title, the time, and the internet address and browser they signed from, as evidence of the signature. Kept for 6 years after the contract ends.
- Support: what you write to us, for as long as needed to help and for 2 years after.
- Requests from the pricing page and the front page: your name, company, role, work email, optional phone, and the plan you priced or what you’d like to see, to reply to you. Legitimate interests. Kept for 2 years unless you become a customer; the internet address a request came from is kept for 30 days, to stop abuse.
- Personal demo links: your name, company and work email; when your link was made, sent and used; and which parts of the demos you open and what you try there, so that the demos open only for the people we’ve invited, we know your link reached you, and we can follow up on what’s useful to you. Only what happens inside the demos, nothing else. Legitimate interests. Kept for 12 months after the link ends, and not shared outside Dealn.
- Dealn’s own staff accounts for the platform console: name, work email, a password and an authenticator, both stored only in hashed or encrypted form.
Dealn does not sell personal details, does not use them for advertising, and does not track visitors to its pages.
Cookies
Only cookies that are strictly necessary are used, so there is no cookie banner:
- dsq_session: keeps a manager signed in to the console (12 hours).
- dsq_board: remembers that this phone or screen has a private board’s showroom code (90 days).
- dsq_platform: keeps a Dealn administrator signed in (10 hours).
- dsq_me: keeps someone signed in to the board on their phone after they sign in with their work email and PIN, and a sales executive to Dealn Events as well (30 days, or until they sign out).
- dsq_ev: kept a sales executive signed in to Dealn Events after they followed a link emailed to them, before the PIN sign-in (14 days, or until they sign out).
- dsq_demo: holds your personal demo link while you look round the demos, until the link ends. The Events demo keeps its own copy, dealn_demo, with dealn_demo_chk to note when it last checked the link is still good.
The console also remembers small display choices in your browser (for example that you have seen a “what’s new” note). Nothing is shared with anyone else.
